All Prolen®Medical products are also made of 100% polypropylene Prolen®Siltex and Prolen®Bodyfresh fibre, which is treated with a permanent antimicrobial treatment based on silver and zinc ions, and which meets the health safety requirements of the current legislation of the Slovak Republic and the European Union.
Prolen®Medical can be washed and sterilized several times until it is mechanically damaged. The product lifetime is a minimum of 100 washes with preservation of antimicrobial properties.
We recommend washing the product before use:
- Wash between 40°C and 70°C, recommended temperature for bags with stickers is 40°C,
- spinning is recommended at 400 rpm, max. 600 rpm,
- cleaning agent: any type, disinfectants including chlorine are allowed,
- do not use fabric softener to maintain the hydrophobicity of the product ,
- drying: fast drying, zero water absorption,
- dryer: recommended temperature 40°C / max. 40°C; duration: 20 min. + 5 min. cold,
- drying tunnel: recommendation 70°C, max 70°C,
- Ironing: do not iron directly, only low temperature ironing with steam is allowed,
- After the washing or drying process, it is recommended to hang or fold the garments immediately to reduce the number of folds,
- sterilization max. up to 135°C.
