^Prolen® Medical Textile Face Drapes (Type II) are made from 100% polypropylene certified ^Prolen® Siltex and Prolen® Bodyfresh fibers that are permanently treated with a silver and zinc ion based antimicrobial additive registered for use as antimicrobial ingredients under the EU Biocidal Products Directive.

The antimicrobial additives are homogeneously distributed in the ^Prolen® Siltex and Prolen® Bodyfresh polypropylene fibre mass with efficacy throughout the lifetime of the final product. Active ingredients with silver and zinc ions in ^Prolen® Medical textile drapes provide effective antimicrobial protection, reduce unpleasant odours, ensure hygienic freshness and cleanliness and reduce the risk of cross-contamination.

Prolen® Medical woven and knitted protective face masks have been certified to European Standard EN 14683+AC:2019, Type 2 and CE Declaration of Conformity 93/41/EEC (Class 1). Within this standard the following have been met:
