What is the purpose of the protective drape?

Recent months have shown us that covering the nose and mouth, i.e. the upper respiratory tract, can prevent the transmission of viral diseases. The effectiveness of cotton drapes decreases with increasing temperature. They trap moisture, making them ineffective. Moreover, damp cotton drapes are not good for our skin either, as they cause irritation and rashes. In addition, damp drapes are an ideal breeding ground for dust mites or moulds.

It is these active ingredients that make them effective against the proliferation of bacteria, fungi and viruses in the first place. In addition, antimicrobial additives are added to the fibre mass and not to its surface, so they do not migrate out of the fabric and remain in it even after multiple washings. Thus, they are maximally harmless for our organism and can be used even by allergy sufferers or people with sensitive skin. The only care after use involves washing it in the washing machine at 40 °C. Simple, right?
